Bihars Support Camps Resolve 96% of Issues in Three Months

Patna, August 16: The support camps initiated by the NDA government under Chief Minister Samrat Chaudhary have made a significant impact in addressing public issues at the panchayat level. Over the past three months, these camps have received a total of 646,181 applications across the state. Remarkably, 620,030 cases have been resolved, accounting for nearly 96% of the applications received. Approximately 4% of the cases remain pending.

According to data available on the support portal, 598,639 cases have been successfully addressed, while 21,391 applications were rejected. The government aims to resolve the pending cases within a specified timeframe.

The initiative began on May 19, 2026, in Dumri Buzurg village, located in the Sonpur block of the Saran district. Camps are held at the panchayat level on the first and third Tuesdays of each month, while a state-level camp takes place on the second Tuesday, where the Chief Minister personally listens to public grievances and directs officials to resolve them.

The state government has set a maximum timeframe of 30 days for the resolution of applications received during these camps. This initiative aims to relieve citizens from the hassle of visiting block, district, or other government offices for solutions to their problems. The Chief Minister’s Secretariat is regularly monitoring the applications and their resolutions.

So far, support camps have been conducted in 6,533 out of the state’s 8,032 panchayats, with camps held in all 534 blocks. The government plans to include the remaining panchayats in future phases of this initiative. According to the support portal’s data, the top ten districts in terms of case resolutions include Sheikhpura, Saharsa, Shivhar, Khagaria, Bhojpur, Jamui, Gopalganj, Arwal, West Champaran, and Banka.

Additionally, data shows that Bhojpur received 41,107 applications, West Champaran 38,449, Patna 32,488, Gaya 30,669, and Muzaffarpur 30,485. An official stated that the establishment of camps at the panchayat level has made it easier for people to resolve issues within their villages and nearby areas. This not only saves time and money but also alleviates the burden of unnecessary visits to government offices.

According to the Chief Minister’s directives, the support camps will continue even after all panchayats have hosted them, ensuring ongoing rapid resolution of public issues.
