Bhagalpur, July 18: A meeting was held at the Review Building in Bhagalpur, chaired by District Magistrate Alankrita Pandey, to discuss the effective implementation of the Prime Minister’s Surya Ghar Yojana.
The meeting specifically reviewed the progress of installing free solar systems in the homes of KJ (Kuteer Jyoti) consumers, along with the work plan and related arrangements.
It was announced that the selected agency, Senan Pandit, has been entrusted with the responsibility of this project. The installation of solar systems is expected to begin promptly, as it will take approximately 3 to 4 days to procure the necessary materials.
During the meeting, a strong emphasis was placed on the quality of work. Officials instructed that all solar systems should be installed in accordance with the prescribed standards to prevent any technical issues for consumers in the future. Regular monitoring of the work was also mandated.
Additionally, matters concerning APL consumers were reviewed. It was noted that some applications for bank loans for payment-based solar system installations were being rejected due to technical reasons. The District Magistrate directed bank officials to strictly adhere to the Bihar government’s guidelines and expedite the processing of eligible consumers’ loan applications, ensuring that as many loans as possible are approved so that the benefits of the scheme reach eligible beneficiaries in a timely manner.
