Patna: The annual Intermediate (12th) examinations in Bihar are set to begin from Monday. Conducted by the Bihar School Examination Board (BSEB), over 13.17 lakh students will participate in this year’s exams.
The examinations will continue until February 13. To ensure a fair and smooth process, BSEB has completed all necessary arrangements. Strict security and monitoring measures have been put in place at all exam centres across the state.
A total of 1,762 exam centres have been established throughout Bihar. Each district will have four model exam centres exclusively for female students. The exams will be conducted in two shifts, with videography and photography arrangements to maintain transparency.
The first shift is scheduled from 9:30 AM to 12:45 PM, and the second shift will run from 2:00 PM to 5:15 PM. Students will be given 15 minutes before the exam to read the question papers.
On the first day, the morning shift will have exams for Biology and Philosophy, while the afternoon shift will conduct Economics exams for Arts and Commerce streams.
Exam centres will close their main gates 30 minutes before the start of the exams. Latecomers or those attempting forced entry will face legal action. Unauthorized entry within a 200-metre radius of exam centres is strictly prohibited.
Strict instructions have been issued to penalize anyone disrupting the examination process. Use of mobile phones, Bluetooth devices, earphones, and other electronic gadgets is banned inside exam centres.
The board has made it clear that students arriving late will not be allowed entry. Those found trying to enter exam centres unlawfully will be barred from exams for two years and will face police complaints.
These measures underscore the board’s commitment to conducting a transparent and disciplined examination.
