Patna, September 10 (Daily Kiran) : Union Minister Chirag Paswan addressed the ongoing flood situation in Bihar, highlighting the challenges faced by residents. He stated that the government and local administration are providing essential support, including shelter, food, fodder for animals, and tarpaulins.
Paswan noted that Bihar experiences severe flooding in half of its regions annually, while the other half grapples with drought. He emphasized the urgent need for collaborative efforts to implement permanent solutions, such as redirecting floodwaters and constructing canals and stronger embankments.
“The people are facing hardships,” Paswan remarked. “As a government, as well as representatives, we are striving to assist as much as possible.” He reiterated the importance of addressing the dual challenges of flooding and drought by working together towards effective solutions.
Additionally, Paswan commented on the recent charges filed against RJD leader Lalu Yadav and eight others in the IRCTC money laundering case. He acknowledged that investigations likely uncovered evidence leading to these charges, suggesting that accountability is necessary in such scandals.
As a member of the government, Paswan stressed that mere accusations are insufficient. Quality solutions and proactive measures are essential in tackling the persistent issues that plague Bihar.
