Patna, September 10 (Daily Kiran) : National Janata Dal (RJD) spokesperson Shakti Singh Yadav has launched a strong critique of the central government and investigative agencies regarding the IRCTC hotel money laundering case. He labeled the case as old and fabricated, asserting that it was deliberately constructed by those in power.
Yadav stated, “This is an old and concocted case. Those in power have intentionally created this case and are trying to forcefully prove it. The department has never acknowledged any corruption.” He emphasized that the revenue involved in the case ultimately benefits the railways.
He further explained that the situation is clear: the establishment uses its agencies to target those who oppose its policies. “The case is in court, and we are facing it. This has been ongoing for a long time; things have stalled and then resumed,” he added.
Yadav also responded to JDU MP Sanjay Kumar Jha, who blamed the Congress and RJD for the flood situation in Bihar. He dismissed Jha’s comments as childish, questioning how a former water resources minister could make such statements. “Water-sharing treaties and flood management are distinct issues,” Yadav remarked, suggesting that Jha had forgotten the contributions of his own party members in past discussions on these matters.
He noted that a water treaty was established in 1975, criticizing the current administration for its lack of understanding of these complex issues. “Nitish Kumar has previously shared extensive insights on this topic in Parliament. Their statements change after they switch allegiances,” Yadav concluded.
