
Patna, March 19: During the fourth phase of the ‘Samriddhi Yatra’, Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar visited Munger and Lakhisarai districts on Thursday, initiating several development projects aimed at boosting regional growth.
In Munger, the Chief Minister laid the foundation for 26 projects and inaugurated 52 completed initiatives. He also inspected stalls set up by various government departments, interacted directly with beneficiaries, and distributed assistance checks.
Addressing a large gathering at the ‘Jan Samvad’ event held at the airport grounds, the Chief Minister highlighted his achievements over more than two decades in public service. He urged the audience to work together towards building a ‘Developed Bihar’. During his speech, he called on listeners to maintain focus, stating, “Do not let your attention wander. Listen carefully—if you miss what is being said, you will not understand these important details.”
After his visit to Munger, the Chief Minister proceeded to Lakhisarai, where he continued his outreach campaign. At the Kajra solar power plant, he reviewed the project’s 3D model, inspected the control room, and visited departmental stalls. He also interacted with beneficiaries and distributed checks, while appreciating cultural performances presented by school children during the event.
In Lakhisarai, he laid the foundation for 144 projects using remote control and inaugurated 117 completed schemes, dedicating them to the district’s residents. In his address, he reiterated his government’s commitment to overall development and congratulated the people on these new initiatives.
Several dignitaries were present at the event, including Union Minister Rajiv Ranjan Singh, Deputy Chief Minister Samrat Chaudhary, Deputy Chief Minister Vijay Kumar Sinha, Water Resources Minister Vijay Kumar Chaudhary, Cabinet Minister Sunil Kumar, and MLA Ramanand Mandal from Suryagarha.
It is noteworthy that the ‘Samriddhi Yatra’ is part of the state government’s initiative to connect directly with citizens and showcase ongoing development projects across Bihar.
