Patna, July 21: During the monsoon session of the Bihar Assembly, ministers and legislators raised several critical issues, including the education system, teacher transfer policies, computer education in schools, lack of basic facilities, and development funds for legislators.
BJP legislator Devesh Kant Singh stated in an interview that the state government is working with sensitivity on skill development. He noted that some individuals were causing disruptions or revealing flaws in the system. He has brought these matters to the government’s attention. Devesh Kant expressed satisfaction with the government’s responses and is confident that these issues will be resolved.
Clarifying the government’s stance, Minister Sanjay Kumar Singh told IANA that government regulations are regularly updated, and it is entirely appropriate for representatives to raise their demands and issues in the assembly. He emphasized that if members do not voice their concerns, solutions cannot be found. The government listens seriously to its members and makes decisions based on their inputs. He assured that the government would certainly consider the issues raised by the honorable members.
Minister Sanjay Kumar Singh also mentioned the funds available for development work in rural areas. He provided an example where, at times, only partial work is completed with the allocated amount of 1.5 million rupees, causing further work to halt. This situation affects the respective representatives, as the public demands answers from them. Therefore, it is essential for legislators to raise these issues in the assembly so that the government can understand the situation and make necessary decisions.
Raju Tiwari, the state president of the Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas), expressed concern about the state of computer education in schools during an interview with IANA. He stated that the government had previously provided computers in several government schools and established computer education systems, but currently, most computers have become unusable. He emphasized the importance of strengthening modern technical education in schools, especially in the era of artificial intelligence (AI). Tiwari mentioned that he has raised this issue with the government, and the relevant minister assured him that improvements would be made in computer education, along with efforts to introduce AI-based education in schools and colleges.
Regarding the teacher transfer policy, Education Minister Mithilesh Tiwari stated that the government would definitely implement it. He mentioned that a request would be sent to the Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) this month for new teacher recruitment. The state government will appoint teachers as needed to address the shortage in schools and provide students with a better academic environment.
On the development of infrastructure in schools, Minister Mithilesh Tiwari said that the government is preparing a list of all schools that lack their own land or buildings. Once the list is ready, construction work for these schools will be carried out in phases based on the availability of financial resources, ensuring better educational facilities for students.
To promote computer-based education, Minister Mithilesh Tiwari announced that online classes would commence in all high schools with computer facilities by August 15. He stated that the government’s goal is to connect students with modern education through technology and make the digital education system more effective.
