Seven-time champion Marc Márquez struggled in the latter part of the race, ultimately finishing sixth. This allowed Martin to reclaim his title lead.
Martin now sits two points ahead of Márquez, having earned an additional podium and 16 points from the race. After winning Saturday’s sprint, the Ducati rider secured 10 points, marking his first championship lead of the year.
Currently, Martin has amassed 355 points, while Márquez follows closely with 353. Bezzecchi is also back in the title race with 309 points, trailing the Ducati riders by 44 points and Martin by 46. This victory marked Bezzecchi’s first win since Mugello.
After the race, Bezzecchi reflected, “I knew I had to take some risks here. I didn’t benefit from the race incident yesterday, but I’m glad today went well. I’m still quite behind, but I will keep fighting and trying my best until the end.”
Fernández, despite his injuries, expressed his determination after finishing second. “I felt a lot of pain this morning. I wasn’t sure I could move my fingers. The challenge was not just getting on the bike, but how to brake with my injured finger. This race was mentally tough for me, and I’m grateful for my team’s unwavering support.”
