According to police reports, the couple met on Instagram and had been living together for the past six months. A personal dispute escalated on Saturday night, leading to the accusation that Sharath strangled Anusha. He worked as a water tanker driver in the city.
The incident came to light on Monday when Sharath reportedly confessed to his lawyer about the murder. The lawyer promptly informed the police, who arrived at the residence and recovered the body. A case has been registered, and following a search operation, Sharath was arrested. Anusha’s body has been handed over to her family after legal formalities, while police continue to interrogate Sharath.

Her father, Srinivas, reported that on the morning of June 13, his sister-in-law alerted the family about an Instagram story featuring Bhavani with an unknown man. After repeated calls to Bhavani went unanswered, the family contacted her employer’s wife to check on her.
When the woman arrived, she found the house locked from the inside. After knocking and receiving no response, she notified the police. Officers forced entry and discovered Bhavani lifeless on the floor, while a man named Chandrashekhar (also known as Chandan or Chandu) was found unconscious but breathing.
