New Delhi, August 31: BJP leader Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi responded to the statements made by RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat and Prime Minister Narendra Modi during their foreign visit. He emphasized that Bhagwat’s remarks aim to foster harmony within society.
Naqvi supported Bhagwat’s statement, asserting that it is not a result of political compulsion but rather a reflection of commitment to Sanatan values. He stated that when a statement is driven by dedication to these values rather than political interests, it resonates both within the country and beyond.
He further noted that if Bhagwat speaks of ideals such as “Sarve Bhavantu Sukhinah, Sarve Santu Niraamayaah,” “Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam,” and “Unity in Diversity,” prioritizing commitment to the nation where citizens reside, there should be no issue with that.
Naqvi also criticized the long-standing biased propaganda against the RSS and India. He asserted that despite such efforts, the identity of the RSS remains intact as the organization continuously works towards nation-building and enriching humanity. He highlighted that India is a secular nation and the world’s largest democracy.
It is noteworthy that during an event in Greater Toronto, Mohan Bhagwat stated that people of Indian origin have responsibilities not only towards their host countries but also towards all of humanity. Over two thousand Hindus and community members attended the event.
Bhagwat appealed to Indians living abroad to be honest and responsible citizens in their respective countries while also spreading India’s message of unity, service, and humanity globally.
Regarding Uzbekistan’s highest honor awarded to Prime Minister Modi, Naqvi remarked that the recognition received by the Prime Minister is a matter of pride for every Indian. He emphasized that this honor is not just for Modi but for the entire nation and its millions of citizens.
Naqvi cautioned against politicizing this international recognition, stating that it should be viewed as a reflection of India’s global stature and the respect of its citizens. He urged that during such occasions, national pride should take precedence over political disputes.
