BCECEB Recruitment 2026: Apply for 118 Senior Resident/Tutor Positions by September 8

Patna, August 26: A significant opportunity has emerged for youth preparing for government jobs and awaiting vacancy announcements. The Health Department of Bihar has issued an official notification through the Bihar Combined Entrance Competitive Examination Board (BCECEB) inviting eligible candidates to apply for a total of 118 Senior Resident/Tutor positions in the state’s medical and dental colleges and hospitals for a three-year term.

Among the 118 vacancies announced by BCECEB, 76 positions are in the Forensic Medicine department, while 42 are in the Dental Diseases department.

The online application process commenced on August 25, and the last date to apply is set for September 8. Candidates interested in these vacancies can complete their registration on the official BCECEB website by 10 PM on the deadline date. The deadline for submitting the application fee is also September 8.

For candidates who may make errors while filling out the application form, a correction window will remain open until September 9. The date for the publication of the document verification program is scheduled for September 11.

Applicants must meet the updated guidelines of the NMLI (Medical Institutions’ Teacher Qualification Rules, 2025) for selection as Senior Resident/Tutor. A valid DNB/DNB Super Specialty qualification is required. Candidates must hold a postgraduate degree in the relevant field from a recognized institution or university. However, if there is a shortage of suitable candidates, a diploma may be accepted as the minimum qualification. Additionally, candidates with equivalent postgraduate degrees are also eligible as per the Medical Council of India’s teaching faculty eligibility criteria.

The maximum age limit for applicants is set at 37 years for unreserved (male) candidates and 40 years for unreserved (female) candidates, calculated as of August 1, 2026. Candidates from reserved categories will receive age relaxation as per regulations.

Selection of eligible candidates will be based on merit, followed by a panel formation and document verification/counseling. Selected candidates will receive a salary under the pay matrix level-9, along with additional benefits and allowances.

While filling out the application form, candidates must pay the specified counseling fee online, which is set at ₹2,250 for unreserved/EWS/EBC/BC/SC/ST/DQ (PWD) candidates.
