Dubai, May 5: The latest ICC T20 team rankings have solidified Australia’s position at the top. The updated rankings reflect full weightage (100%) for matches played since May 2025, while results from the previous two years carry 50% weightage.
Australia leads with 287 rating points, holding a 12-point advantage over England’s women’s cricket team, which is in second place. India remains strong in third with 264 points.
There has been no change in the positions of the top 16 teams, indicating consistent performance among the leading teams in women’s T20 cricket. Current T20 World Cup champions New Zealand are in fourth place with 253 points, while South Africa completes the top five with 243 points.
The West Indies (238) and Sri Lanka (237) occupy the sixth and seventh spots, separated by just one point. Pakistan stands eighth with 216 points, while Ireland (200) and Bangladesh (199) round out the top ten, also with a one-point difference.
Among the teams climbing the rankings, the United States (USA) has moved up two places to reach 20th, achieving a rating of 98. Their consistent performance in international cricket continues to impress. Germany has also benefited significantly, gaining 10 rating points and climbing six spots to enter the top 30 at 29th.
The recent rankings include a total of 78 teams that have played at least eight T20 matches over the past three years. Cambodia has dropped out of this list and will need to play more matches to regain its ranking, while Peru is no longer included due to a long absence from international matches.
