Australia Dominates Bangladesh in Womens T20 World Cup Match

Leeds, June 17: In a decisive match during the Women’s T20 World Cup 2026, Bangladesh surrendered to Australia, losing by 9 wickets with 63 balls remaining. This marks Australia’s second victory in Group A, while Bangladesh faces its first defeat in the tournament.

Australia won the toss and opted to bowl first, a decision that paid off as they restricted Bangladesh to just 77 runs for 8 wickets in their 20 overs. Captain Nigar Sultana was the top scorer for Bangladesh, making 27 runs off 47 balls, including 2 boundaries. Ritu Moni contributed 16 runs from 26 balls, but no other batsman reached double figures.
