Austin Reaves, who had been performing at an All-Star level before his calf injury, is listed as questionable for Friday’s game against Washington. This marks a possible return for the Lakers guard after missing 17 games.
Also listed as questionable is Luka Doncic, who sustained an ankle injury after falling off the raised court during Wednesday night’s game in Cleveland. Although Doncic continued playing after the fall, the Lakers are taking precautions due to potential ankle stiffness over time.
Lakers coach JJ Redick expressed concern about the raised court, calling it “absolutely a safety hazard” and questioning why it remains in use.
Before his injury, Reaves was averaging 26.6 points per game, shooting 36.5% from beyond the arc, along with 6.3 assists and 5.2 rebounds. During his absence, the Lakers have managed a 9-8 record.
