New Delhi, August 24: Chief Minister Rekha Gupta paid tribute to Sant Shromani Guru Ravidas on the occasion of his 650th birth anniversary. Speaking at the ‘Samrasata Sankalp Abhiyan and Pious Soil Pot Distribution’ event held at Talkatora Stadium, she emphasized that spreading his teachings to every individual is the true commitment to social harmony.
The journey of the Samrasata Sankalp, which began from the sacred land of Varanasi, has now reached Delhi and will extend to all districts of the city.
Gupta noted that this initiative, launched under the leadership and vision of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, aims to disseminate the teachings of Sant Ravidas to everyone. She expressed hope that the sacred soil from the pots would reach every home and community in Delhi, bringing the blessings and teachings of Sant Ravidas to all.
The Chief Minister explained that this holy soil is not merely a piece of land; it symbolizes the thoughts of Sant Ravidas, his lifelong social work, and his guidance for humanity.
On this significant occasion, the Samrasata Sankalp Abhiyan provides an opportunity to adopt the ideals of Sant Ravidas and strengthen the spirit of equality, respect, and brotherhood in society.
She reiterated that the essence of Sant Ravidas’s teachings is that no individual is superior or inferior to another, and everyone deserves equal opportunities and respect.
Under the mantra of ‘Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas, and Sabka Prayas,’ these values are being promoted under Prime Minister Modi’s leadership. The Delhi government is also committed to these principles, ensuring equal opportunities and respect for all individuals. Gupta concluded that a strong sense of social harmony, equality, and respect will form the foundation for realizing the vision of a developed India.
