
Beijing, March 10: Asus has introduced a new variant of its NUC 16 Pro mini PC in China. The compact system is now available on JD.com for 10,999 yuan ($1,590) and boasts impressive specifications, including the Intel Core Ultra X7 358H processor, 32GB of RAM, and 1TB of storage.
Specifications of the Asus NUC 16 Pro
The NUC 16 Pro is powered by the Core Ultra X7 358H processor from the Panther Lake H platform. It features 16 cores, comprising 4 performance cores, 8 efficiency cores, and 4 low-power efficiency cores, with a boost clock speed reaching 4.8GHz. The system is equipped with Intel Arc B390 graphics, which includes 12 Xe cores and supports XeSS 3 frame generation technology, enhancing both gaming and rendering performance.
This mini PC comes with 32GB of LPDDR5x RAM running at 9600MHz, with the capacity to expand up to 96GB. It includes a 1TB M.2 PCIe 5.0 SSD and an additional M.2 PCIe 4.0 slot for further storage expansion.
The cooling system features dual fans and multiple heat pipes, designed to maintain optimal performance while minimizing noise. Asus claims this design ensures stable operation even during heavy workloads.
The NUC 16 Pro is equipped with two Thunderbolt 4 ports, two HDMI 2.1 outputs, and four USB-A 3.2 Gen 2 ports located on both the front and rear panels. Additionally, there is a USB-C 3.2 Gen 2 port on the front. For networking, it includes dual 2.5Gb Ethernet ports and Intel Wi-Fi 7, providing fast and reliable connectivity.
This system supports up to four 4K displays and is compatible with VESA mounting. Asus has designed the chassis for tool-free upgrades, making it easy to access internal components. The device measures 14.4 x 11.7 x 4.2 cm and weighs 720 grams.
Furthermore, the mini PC features a firmware TPM 2.0 module for enhanced hardware security and meets MIL-STD-810H certification for durability, ensuring it can endure challenging environments.
