
Changlang, September 18 (Daily Kiran) : In Changlang, Arunachal Pradesh, a joint operation involving the Indian Army’s Spear Corps, Assam Rifles, and CRPF led to the arrest of two individuals and the seizure of suspected brown sugar valued at approximately ₹46.60 lakhs. This information was shared via the official ‘X’ handle of the Spear Corps.
According to the post, the operation was based on specific intelligence. The Assam Rifles, in coordination with state police and the CRPF, conducted the search in the Namgoi area of Changlang on September 16, 2026. During the operation, authorities discovered 233 grams of suspected brown sugar hidden in 21 soap boxes.
The military highlighted the collaboration among various agencies, emphasizing the determination of security forces to dismantle drug networks and promote a drug-free India. The Assam Rifles reiterated their commitment to combating drug trafficking and enhancing security in the northeastern region through this successful operation.
