Anupam Khers Birthday: The Actors Fear of Losing a Precious Memory

Mumbai, March 7: Anupam Kher, who began his career in Hindi cinema with “Saaransh,” is a name that needs no introduction. In his debut film, he demonstrated that talent knows no age, portraying a 68-year-old man managing his family at just 28. Throughout his career, Kher has experienced numerous ups and downs, yet he has completed an impressive journey of over 550 films. Today, he possesses everything, except for one thing that he fears losing.

Everyone has a unique way of living life, and Anupam Kher is a carefree individual, much like Kareena Kapoor’s character in “Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham.” He has risen from humble beginnings to great heights, understanding that everything comes with a price. For him, the most valuable asset is his memory. Kher constantly fears losing his memory, which is why he has an exceptional ability to remember dates and days.

Kher believes in living his life like a film, which is why he keeps track of every significant date. In an interview, he revealed his desire to write his life story, akin to a film narrative. He recounted how he ended up in Mumbai due to a fraudulent job offer.

The actor learned about an advertisement seeking teachers for an acting school. When he contacted them, he was told he would need to come to Mumbai, where he would receive a salary of 5,000 rupees and accommodation. At that time, Kher was teaching in Lucknow, and upon receiving the offer, he left everything behind to head to Mumbai. Upon arrival, he discovered that there was no academy, and he had been deceived. This initial betrayal in Mumbai led Kher to embrace life with a sense of humor, cherishing both the good and bad moments in his memories.
