Mumbai, 2 January. Veteran actor Anupam Kher, who has worked in over 500 films, remains very active on social media. He often motivates his fans and encourages them to look at life from a fresh perspective.
Recently, he remembered the soldiers who have sacrificed their lives for the nation and expressed empathy for the mothers who have lost their young sons.
Anupam Kher shared a video on social media presenting the viewpoint of a mother and family who have given their son’s life for the country. In the video, he referred to a book written by his friend Meghna Girish. Meghna is the mother of Major Akshay Girish, who laid down his life while serving in the army to protect the nation. Meghna’s book, titled Finding New Meaning, explores her son’s sacrifice and the void left in her life.
The actor appeared deeply emotional about the book and urged his fans to buy it to understand the emptiness and sorrow experienced by a mother. In his caption, he wrote, “When a soldier sacrifices his life for the safety of his countrymen, the nation loses a martyr! But someone loses a son, brother, father, husband, or childhood friend. Nothing in the world can fill that loss!”
He further added, “Salute to Meghna Girish, who has courageously shared her story as a mother grieving the unbearable pain of losing her son Major Akshay Girish in war. We may not be able to remove her loneliness, but we can try to share her sorrow.”
It is worth noting that besides acting, Anupam Kher is also an author with four books to his credit. His works focus on new ways and perspectives on living life. His book Lessons Life Taught Me Unknowingly became a bestseller.
