Mumbai, March 29: Aditya Dhar’s ‘Dhurdhar: The Revenge’ has made a significant impact at the box office, capturing audience attention and challenging industry records. Remarkably, even in its second week, the film’s earnings show no signs of slowing down. It has quickly joined the elite list of films approaching the 1000 crore club.
Looking at the earnings, ‘Dhurdhar 2’ had a stellar start, surprising everyone with its box office performance. On its opening day, Thursday, the film grossed an impressive ₹102.55 crore. The following day, Friday, it earned ₹80.72 crore, and on Saturday, the figure rose to ₹113.00 crore. The film peaked on its first Sunday, collecting ₹114.85 crore.
The film’s strong performance continued post-weekend. On the fifth day, Monday, it made ₹65.00 crore, followed by ₹56.60 crore on Tuesday and ₹48.75 crore on Wednesday. On the eighth day, Thursday, it collected ₹49.70 crore. Although there was a slight dip on the ninth day, Friday, with earnings of ₹41.75 crore, the film rebounded on the second Saturday, earning ₹62.85 crore.
In just ten days, ‘Dhurdhar: The Revenge’ has amassed a total box office collection of ₹778.77 crore, with a worldwide gross of ₹1226.44 crore.
Thanks to this outstanding performance, ‘Dhurdhar 2’ has broken records previously held by major films. In terms of worldwide collection, it has surpassed Shah Rukh Khan’s blockbusters ‘Jawan’ and ‘Pathaan’, which grossed ₹1,160 crore and ₹1,055 crore, respectively. Additionally, it has exceeded the collection of ‘KGF: Chapter 2’, which stood at ₹1215 crore. The film is now eyeing the record of ‘RRR’, which achieved approximately ₹1,230 crore globally. It is anticipated that ‘Dhurdhar 2’ will soon break this record as well.
However, ‘Baahubali 2’, with a collection of around ₹1,788.06 crore, and ‘Dangal’, which reached ₹2,070.3 crore worldwide, still hold the top spots. Breaking these records will be challenging, but given ‘Dhurdhar 2’s consistent earnings, there is hope that it may challenge these historic figures.
