Another Arrest Made in Agar-Malwa Jewelry Heist, Over 6 Kilos of Silver Recovered

Agar-Malwa, October 5 (Daily Kiran) : Authorities in Agar-Malwa, Madhya Pradesh, have made another significant arrest in connection with a jewelry heist that took place over a year ago. This latest apprehension brings the total number of suspects arrested in the case to eight.

The police investigation has progressed beyond the initial suspects to identify an individual who purchased the stolen silver and melted it down into bars. During this operation, officers recovered 5 kilograms and 985 grams of silver bars from the suspect’s possession. To date, a total of 14 kilograms and 125 grams of silver, along with two unregistered Bolero vehicles, have been seized.

The incident occurred on the night of May 23, 2025, when a jewelry trader in Nalheda was returning home on a scooter with an employee after closing his shop. They were ambushed by assailants in an unmarked Bolero, who attacked them and made off with gold and silver jewelry as well as cash.

Through technical evidence and an informant network, police have pieced together the details of the robbery, leading to the arrests over time. The investigation extended into Rajasthan, where two additional suspects were detained.

On September 27, another suspect was arrested, whose involvement was revealed earlier this week. According to police, this individual had acquired the stolen silver and transformed it into bars. The authorities are now focused on apprehending the remaining suspects and recovering any outstanding stolen goods.
