Mumbai, July 16: Bollywood actress Anjana Sukhani recently shared a significant experience from the early days of her career. She revealed that advice given to her by Anil Kapoor during the filming of “Salaam-e-Ishq” transformed her perspective, and she continues to apply that lesson in her life today.
In a recent interview, Anjana was asked about her experiences working alongside legendary actors like Amitabh Bachchan, Salman Khan, John Abraham, and Ajay Devgn. The interviewer inquired if any star had given her advice that still resonates with her. Anjana mentioned Anil Kapoor.
She expressed, “I am grateful that no one has tried to give me unsolicited advice because everyone has their own journey and learns from their experiences. However, I remember Anil Kapoor giving me excellent advice during the filming of ‘Salaam-e-Ishq’.”
Anjana shared, “Anil Kapoor always emphasized choosing your projects wisely. He advised me not to work with people I don’t feel comfortable with. Instead, collaborate with those who are good and bring you joy. Don’t take on any film just for the sake of working. I still appreciate this advice and always keep it in mind.”
Released in 2007, “Salaam-e-Ishq” was one of the most talked-about multi-starrer films of its time. Directed by Nikhil Advani, it featured a star-studded cast including Anil Kapoor, Salman Khan, Govinda, Juhi Chawla, Akshaye Khanna, John Abraham, Priyanka Chopra, Vidya Balan, Ayesha Takia, Sohail Khan, Esha Koppikhar, and Shannon Esra. Anjana Sukhani portrayed the character Anjali Kapoor in the film. Although her role was small, it provided her with the opportunity to work alongside many prominent actors.
