Trump Defends Military Action Against Iran, Citing Nuclear Threats
At a rally, Trump asserts military action against Iran was vital to eliminate nuclear threats and ensure U.S. security.

Washington, October 18 (Daily Kiran) : President Donald Trump defended his decision to take military action against Iran during a Republican rally at Northern Kentucky University’s Truist Arena. He highlighted this as one of the significant national security achievements of his potential second term, claiming that U.S. military intervention successfully dismantled Iran’s capability to develop nuclear weapons.
Trump emphasized the seriousness of the threat posed by a nuclear-armed Iran, stating that intervention was essential for U.S. security. “Iran cannot have nuclear weapons. It cannot happen, because if they do, they will use them,” he told his supporters.
He asserted that the U.S. had effectively targeted Iran’s nuclear infrastructure and taken steps to prevent its re-emergence. “We must ensure it does not come back,” he said.
During the military campaign, Trump instructed his senior officials to focus on this objective. He linked the operation to his broader claim that under his leadership, America’s military strength has been revitalized, preparing the nation to confront national security threats.
Trump noted that the decision was made when the U.S. economy and stock market were performing well. While he acknowledged the campaign required additional attention and resources in the Middle East, he insisted that stopping Iran from acquiring nuclear weapons outweighed any short-term economic impacts. He also predicted that energy prices would fall post-campaign.
“This will end very quickly,” he remarked, asserting that gasoline prices would decrease following the operation’s conclusion. Later in his speech, he reiterated that preventing Iran from obtaining nuclear weapons is one of his administration’s most significant accomplishments.
“There are no nuclear weapons in Iran, nor will there ever be. The message is clear,” Trump stated, arguing that previous U.S. administrations should have resolved this issue earlier. He praised his administration for demonstrating the necessary resolve and determination in facing Iran.
Trump also connected the campaign against Iran to his other foreign policy initiatives involving Venezuela and Greenland. He mentioned increased defense spending, noting that his administration and the Republican-controlled Congress have allocated over a trillion dollars for the military. He concluded by asserting that the U.S. possesses the world’s most powerful military, which plays a crucial role in enhancing the country’s international reputation and influence.
