Amit Shah to Launch Development Projects and Address Youth Conference in Assam

New Delhi, March 15: Union Home and Cooperation Minister Amit Shah is on a two-day visit to Assam. Ahead of the upcoming assembly elections, he will participate in several key events and engage with party leaders on Sunday. The primary aim of his visit is to review development initiatives, strengthen party organization, and connect with young voters across the state.

On Sunday morning, Minister Shah will inaugurate the Pragjyotishpur Medical College and Hospital located in the Kalapahar area of Guwahati. The ceremony will be attended by state cabinet ministers, senior government officials, and prominent leaders of the ruling party. These projects are part of the state government’s extensive efforts to enhance healthcare infrastructure and expand public services throughout Assam.

Later, around 1 PM, he will attend the ‘Yuva Shakti Samaroha’ at the Veterinary Ground in Khanapara, Guwahati. This large youth conference is expected to draw nearly 100,000 young attendees from various districts of the state. According to party sources, the event aims to inspire young voters and encourage greater youth participation in public life.

Organized by the BJP’s youth wing, the conference will feature students, entrepreneurs, young professionals, and first-time voters. The program will also emphasize the central government’s development agenda for Assam and the broader northeastern region, focusing on job opportunities, skill development initiatives, and major infrastructure projects.

During his visit, Amit Shah may hold informal meetings with senior leaders of the BJP’s Assam unit. Party officials have indicated that these discussions will likely focus on organizational matters and preparations for the upcoming Assam assembly elections. Dhruvjyoti Maral, the media relations coordinator for the BJP’s Assam unit, stated that the party leadership is looking forward to Shah’s guidance to strengthen grassroots mobilization and electoral strategy in the state.

Senior BJP leaders, state ministers, and other party officials are expected to participate in the youth conference and related events, making this visit a significant political and organizational engagement for the party in the region.
