Washington, June 10: Prime Minister Narendra Modi has received accolades from various American lawmakers, business leaders, and prominent individuals of Indian origin as he marks 12 years as India’s longest-serving elected Prime Minister. U.S. Senator John Cornyn congratulated PM Modi, highlighting that he has completed 4,399 days in office. He stated, “Congratulations to Prime Minister Narendra Modi on becoming India’s longest-serving elected Prime Minister. This leadership of 4,399 days is a result of the trust of 1.4 billion people and three consecutive democratic mandates.”
Cornyn emphasized, “From lifting 250 million people out of poverty to making India the world’s fastest-growing major economy, Modi’s tenure has indeed been transformative. The relationship between the U.S. and India has never been stronger.”
Arun Agarwal, co-founder of the Indian American CEO Council and Chairman of the Texas Economic Development Corporation, remarked that this milestone offers a moment to reflect on the changes in India over the past 12 years. He stated, “India in 2026 is not the same as India in 2014. It is hard to deny that today, India stands stronger, more influential, and more respected in the world.”
He added that India is now viewed not just as a country of potential but as one that is realizing those possibilities. “For decades, India was seen as a land of immense potential. Today, the world is witnessing India achieve those possibilities,” he noted, predicting that the past 12 years will be remembered as a period of India’s rapid emergence and a shift in global perceptions about the country.
Nikesh Arora, Chairman and CEO of Palo Alto Networks, also congratulated PM Modi on this achievement. He echoed Cornyn’s sentiments, stating, “Congratulations to Prime Minister Narendra Modi on becoming India’s longest-serving elected Prime Minister.
