Jammu, July 2: The Amarnath Yatra is witnessing tremendous enthusiasm among devotees and saints. A large group of saints departed from the Shri Ram Temple in Old Mandi, Jammu, on Thursday for the sacred pilgrimage. Before setting off, the saints and devotees raised joyful chants in praise of Baba Barfani, wishing for a pleasant and safe journey.
One saint, speaking to a news agency, expressed that the journey so far has been very pleasant. He shared that traveling with fellow saints and devotees makes the experience truly special.
“This is my first opportunity to have darshan of Baba Amarnath. Excellent facilities have been provided for the saints, and this dedication is evident every year,” he stated.
A first-time devotee also shared his excitement about the journey. “This is my first Amarnath Yatra. The enthusiasm among the devotees is remarkable. The support and assistance from the administration and army personnel are commendable,” he said.
Another saint, who has been making the Amarnath pilgrimage for the past 32 years, noted that the government has made excellent arrangements for travelers this year. He specifically highlighted the improved facilities for elderly and differently-abled devotees, making the journey much easier compared to previous years.
A saint from Jabalpur, located on the banks of the Narmada River in Madhya Pradesh, mentioned that this is his third Amarnath Yatra. “I have come to seek the blessings of Baba Barfani. The government has made fantastic preparations for the journey, and all arrangements are very good,” he remarked.
On this occasion, another saint connected the Amarnath Yatra to spiritual tradition, stating, “We are all very excited. This is the first phase of our ‘Kailash Yatra.’ The final phase will be completed at Har Mukha Kailash in Jammu when that journey begins. This tradition has been carried on since ancient times.”
He added that extensive security measures have been put in place along the pilgrimage route. The administration has made better arrangements at every level to ensure that all devotees can proceed safely and comfortably to have darshan of Baba Barfani.
The entire Jammu region is filled with a devotional atmosphere surrounding the Amarnath Yatra. Devotees and saints arriving from various states across the country are visibly excited and devoted to having darshan of Baba Barfani.
