Sai Pallavis Role Revealed in Upcoming Film Om
The character of Nitya Reddy, played by Sai Pallavi, is unveiled ahead of the action thriller Om starring Dhanush and Mammootty.
Mumbai, October 26 (Daily Kiran) : Director Rajkumar Periyasamy’s highly anticipated action thriller, ‘Om,’ is set to hit theaters soon. The film features Tamil superstar Dhanush and Malayalam icon Mammootty in lead roles. Recently, the makers unveiled the character of actress Sai Pallavi, who will portray a police officer named Nitya Reddy.
The first look of her character is scheduled to be released on Monday evening. The production company, Wonderbar Films, humorously reached out to director Periyasamy on social media, asking when fans could expect a glimpse of Sai Pallavi.
In response, Periyasamy confirmed that fans can look forward to seeing her character today, October 26, at 6 PM. The film also stars Bollywood veteran Naseeruddin Shah and carries the tagline “Chapter 1,” hinting at the possibility of a sequel.
Earlier teasers indicated that the plot revolves around individuals who earn a living by illegally harvesting red sandalwood. Dhanush plays a woodcutter who intervenes when police capture workers at gunpoint. ‘Om’ is scheduled for release on November 20.
Initially, the film was set to premiere on October 16, but Dhanush announced a delay to honor superstar Rajinikanth, whose film ‘Jailer 2’ was released on October 15. Dhanush clarified that ‘Om’ would not be released during Diwali due to a prior announcement for Suriya’s film on the same date. The new release date of November 20 has generated significant excitement among fans, marking the first collaboration between Dhanush and Mammootty.
