Bhojpur, July 1: In a shocking turn of events, serious allegations have emerged regarding the death of Bharat Tiwari in Bhojpur, Bihar. His mother has filed a written complaint with the police, accusing officers of shooting her son. This complaint, submitted on June 18, served as the basis for registering a murder case.
In her statement, Bharat Tiwari’s mother claims that her son was killed by police gunfire, and there were attempts to cover up the incident.
According to the First Information Report (FIR), the complainant stated that Bharat was at home around 8 AM on June 17 when police personnel, including the officer in charge of Shahpur police station, arrived and took him away.
The complaint alleges that the officers told Bharat they needed him to assist flood victims displaced in Jawainiya. They assured him that his concerns regarding the victims would be addressed.
In her letter, Bharat Tiwari’s mother wrote, “My son was raising issues concerning the flood victims in Jawainiya before the relevant authorities. He was also showcasing these problems on Facebook. Upon reaching the flood victims, my son threw down the weapon he was holding in front of the police, as seen in the Facebook Live.”
She further alleged that after discarding the weapon, her son surrendered to the police. However, despite this, the officers pushed him into a ditch. Following orders from the Jagdishpur police sub-divisional officer, they fired five rounds at Bharat. He was later taken away in a police vehicle while injured.
Bharat Tiwari’s mother also claimed that during the incident, her husband was detained at the Shahpur police station for the entire day. Later that evening, the police informed them of their son’s death.
In conclusion, Bharat Tiwari’s mother has demanded that all police personnel involved in the incident be charged and that appropriate legal action be taken to ensure justice is served.
