
New Delhi, March 22: Air India and Air India Express have announced the operation of a total of 30 scheduled and non-scheduled flights to and from the West Asia region, primarily covering Saudi Arabia and the UAE, starting March 23, 2026. This information was shared by the airlines in an official statement, which also outlined options for passengers regarding rebooking and refunds.
Both airlines will continue their scheduled services on the Jeddah route. A total of 10 flights will operate between India and Jeddah, with Air India offering one round trip each from Delhi and Mumbai. Additionally, Air India Express will operate flights from Bengaluru, Kozhikode, and Mangalore. Furthermore, Air India Express will run four scheduled flights from Muscat (including from Delhi and Mumbai) and four flights from Bengaluru-Kozhikode to Riyadh.
In addition to scheduled services, a total of 12 non-scheduled (extra) flights will be operated from the UAE and Saudi Arabia. These flights will depend on slot availability at departure stations and other conditions. Necessary approvals from relevant Indian and local regulatory authorities are being obtained for their operation.
Air India has clarified that all flights to and from North America, Europe, Australia, and other regions will continue to operate as per their established schedules. Affected passengers, whose routes have seen temporary service disruptions, are being offered the option to reschedule their flights or receive a full refund without any additional charges.
Passengers are encouraged to apply for rebooking or cancellations through Air India’s official website.
For Air India Express passengers, a special facility is available. Rebooking on Air India Express’s additional commercial flights from any station in the UAE to any destination in India can be done without extra charges. The airline is reaching out to affected passengers via their registered mobile numbers, so travelers are urged to keep their contact information updated.
