Adani Enterprises and Jabil Partner to Establish AI and Data Center Infrastructure in India

New Delhi, October 13 (Daily Kiran) : Adani Enterprises Limited (AEL) and global engineering firm Jabil Inc. have signed a non-binding memorandum of understanding (MoU) to establish a 50:50 joint venture aimed at manufacturing and assembling artificial intelligence (AI) and data center equipment in India. This agreement follows a strategic alliance announced in June 2026 between Adani Group and Jabil to develop an AI and data center infrastructure manufacturing ecosystem in the country.

Gautam Adani, Chairman of the Adani Group, emphasized that the AI revolution requires more than just advancements in algorithms. He stated that a new industrial framework is essential, integrating energy, hyper-scale infrastructure, advanced computing, and precise manufacturing to propel the intelligence economy forward.

Adani expressed the group’s vision to move beyond merely providing energy and hosting AI infrastructure. He highlighted the intention to engineer and manufacture critical systems that will define the next generation of computing.

The proposed joint venture will require the signing of final agreements, obtaining necessary approvals, and fulfilling general conditions before it can proceed. Adani described the partnership with Jabil as a strategic step towards the future, combining Jabil’s world-class engineering and manufacturing capabilities with Adani’s integrated strengths in energy, infrastructure, and data centers. This collaboration aims to build the physical infrastructure necessary for the global AI economy.

The joint venture is expected to establish a manufacturing hub in India that will not only meet domestic demand but also support exports. Companies involved estimate that investments in AI computing could generate over $300 billion in opportunities in the global market over the next seven years.

Mike Dustoor, CEO of Jabil Inc., remarked that signing the MoU is a significant step towards their shared goal of creating a large-scale AI infrastructure manufacturing platform in India. He noted that India’s significance in terms of domestic and global AI infrastructure demand is continuously increasing.

By leveraging Jabil’s 60 years of engineering and manufacturing experience alongside Adani Group’s extensive infrastructure and energy capabilities, they aim to provide more hyper-scalers with rack-level data center solutions both in India and globally.

This joint venture aligns with Adani Group’s commitment to invest $100 billion by 2035 to develop green energy-powered, hyper-scale, and AI-ready data centers with a capacity of 5 gigawatts. The proposed venture will also integrate hardware manufacturing into the group’s infrastructure, energy, logistics, and data center businesses.

According to the statement, the joint venture will manufacture and assemble AI racks, servers, storage, and networking equipment used in data centers. These racks will house high-performance computing systems for AI applications and other digital services.
