Adani Electricity Enhances Disaster Management for Monsoon Preparedness

Mumbai, June 24: Adani Electricity has strengthened its disaster management preparations to protect its 3.15 million customers from potential power disruptions during the monsoon season. The company shared this information on Wednesday.

To address any emergencies during the monsoon, Adani Electricity has activated its Central Disaster Control Center (CDCC). According to the leading power distribution company in Mumbai, this center will operate 24/7 throughout the monsoon season, managing all relief and response activities.

A spokesperson for Adani Electricity stated, “Our team is fully prepared to face the challenges posed by the monsoon. With the support of quick response teams and the central disaster management team, we are committed to ensuring consumer safety and uninterrupted power supply.”

The company has strategically deployed seven Quick Response Teams (QRTs) within its distribution network. These teams are equipped with specialized response, recovery, and restoration plans to tackle challenges arising during the monsoon.

To monitor rising water levels, the company has installed 98 advanced water level sensors at critical locations, connected to an Advanced Distribution Management System. This setup will aid in the early detection of power issues related to flooding or waterlogging, allowing for timely intervention.

The Central Disaster Control Center will utilize state-of-the-art satellite and wireless technologies, including walkie-talkies and remote devices, to maintain continuous communication between various departments and external agencies.

The company noted that this will enable rapid solutions in case of power supply disruptions and facilitate better management of incidents.

Before the rains begin, Adani Electricity has completed extensive pre-monsoon inspections and maintenance work. Electrical equipment located in low-lying areas has been elevated to prevent waterlogging. Additionally, essential materials, emergency vehicles, and diesel generators have been strategically positioned for immediate action in emergencies.

Adani Electricity is also conducting ongoing safety awareness programs in its service area. Through these initiatives, the public is informed about important electrical safety measures during the monsoon.
