Sonali Kulkarni Celebrates Ganesh Chaturthi with Unique Farmer-Themed Idol

Mumbai, September 14 (Daily Kiran) : Actress Sonali Kulkarni celebrated Ganesh Chaturthi by unveiling a unique idol of Lord Ganesha depicted as a farmer. This year, she prayed for relief and prosperity for farmers grappling with floods, droughts, and adverse weather conditions.

Kulkarni shared, “The special aspect of this idol is that Bappa is seated on a bullock cart as a farmer. For years, it has been our tradition to create the Ganesh idol by hand. This time, we thought it was time for something different after nine years.”

Explaining the inspiration behind the farmer-themed idol, she said, “A person from Sans Art suggested placing Bappa on a bullock cart. When we came up with the idea of portraying Bappa as a farmer, we thought it would be a fun way to pray. We hope to ask Bappa for relief in areas facing calamities and to help our farmer brothers who are struggling with these issues.”

Kulkarni also introduced her brother and sister-in-law, noting that this is their first Ganesh Chaturthi celebration together. She expressed her joy, saying, “What makes this year special is that they are celebrating together for the first time. It’s my brother’s favorite festival, so I wanted to ensure we all prepared together. I wish for Bappa’s arrival to bring happiness, prosperity, and well-being to every family.”
