Acer Unveils Vero HL1820 4K Gaming Projector with Ultra-Fast 240Hz Refresh Rate

Acer has introduced its new 4K UHD home projector, the Vero HL1820, enhancing its environmentally conscious Vero series with a high-performance device tailored for both movie lovers and gamers. This model features advanced RGB laser technology to deliver bright, vivid colours and smooth visuals for an immersive experience.

Advanced Display and Performance Features

The Vero HL1820 offers native 4K UHD resolution (3840 x 2160) using a 0.65-inch DMD panel. It employs a pure RGB laser light source with separate red, green, and blue diodes, producing 5,500 RGB laser lumens and 2,000 ANSI lumens. Acer states the projector covers 106% of the BT.2020 colour gamut and provides a dynamic contrast ratio of 3,500,000:1. Its lifespan is rated at 20,000 hours in standard mode and up to 30,000 hours in eco mode.

Designed with gamers in mind, the projector supports 1080p input at a 240Hz refresh rate and boasts an input latency as low as 4.2 milliseconds, enabling fast-paced and responsive gameplay. It also includes a built-in 15-watt speaker and offers dual HDMI 2.0 ports with HDCP 2.2, USB-A power output, audio out, DC 12V trigger, and RS232 control for versatile connectivity.

Flexible Installation and Eco-Friendly Design

The Vero HL1820 features a 1.6x optical zoom lens and supports ±30° vertical and horizontal keystone correction along with four-corner image adjustment for flexible setup. It allows 360-degree projection, making it adaptable to various room layouts. The throw ratio ranges from 1.4 to 2.24, enabling a 60-inch image projection from just 1.86 metres distance.

In line with Acer’s eco-friendly initiative, the projector is IP6X dust-protected and built using a chassis composed of 50% post-consumer recycled materials, supporting sustainability without compromising performance.

Availability and Pricing

The Acer Vero HL1820 is scheduled to launch in the EMEA region in March 2026, priced at €1,499. Alongside this release, Acer has also announced the Predator XB273U F6 monitor with a remarkable 1,000Hz refresh rate aimed at competitive gamers, and the ProDesigner PE320QX, a 32-inch 6K monitor designed for professional users requiring extensive connectivity options.
