Accused Arrested in Unintentional Killing of Wife in Noida

Noida, August 8: The police from the Expressway police station in Noida have arrested a suspect wanted in connection with the unintentional killing of his wife. The arrest took place on Saturday at the Chaprauli T-point in Sector 168, Noida. The accused has been identified as Dena Lohra, approximately 40 years old, son of Hopna Lohra.

According to police reports, the accused originally hails from Sahibganj district in Jharkhand and was residing in a labor camp at Nimbus Arista in Sector 168, Noida. The incident occurred on July 31, 2026, when Dena Lohra had a dispute with his wife, Geeta Kumari. During the altercation, Geeta Kumari suffered injuries that led to her unintentional death.

Following the incident, the police were informed, and a written complaint was filed by the complainant on August 1, 2026, at the Expressway police station. Based on this complaint, the police registered a case against the accused. After the case was filed, the police began searching for the suspect.

On Saturday, police received information about the accused’s presence in Sector 168. Acting on this tip-off, the Expressway police apprehended Dena Lohra at Chaprauli T-point in Noida. Following his arrest, the police are currently interrogating him regarding the incident.

The police are also investigating the evidence available and other aspects related to the case. According to the information released by the police, the permanent address of the arrested individual is Bara Khata Pani, Taljhari police station, Sahibganj district, Jharkhand. He had been working in Noida for some time and was living in labor camp number 127 at Nimbus Arista.

Authorities have stated that legal action is being taken against the accused, and further inquiries into the causes of the incident and related facts are ongoing.
