Dausa, August 12 (Kiran News). A tragic accident in Rajasthan’s Dausa district claimed the lives of 10 devotees returning from Khatu Shyam Temple. The victims included seven children and three women, all residents of Etah, Uttar Pradesh. Several others were injured and have been referred to Jaipur’s SMS Hospital for treatment.

According to officials, the devotees were travelling in a pickup vehicle when it collided with a truck near Dausa on Wednesday morning. The impact was so severe that all 10 victims died on the spot. Around 12 others sustained serious injuries.

Dausa Superintendent of Police Sagar Rana confirmed the casualties, stating that seven to eight injured people were rushed to Jaipur for advanced medical care. Local eyewitnesses said the pickup, returning from Khatu Shyam, crashed head-on with a container truck, leading to the high number of fatalities.

The bodies have been sent for postmortem examination, and police are investigating the exact cause of the collision. Authorities said the accident spot has now been cleared to resume normal traffic flow.
