Mumbai, March 21: Zareen Khan, who made her debut in Salman Khan’s film “Veer,” may be away from the silver screen, but she remains connected with her fans through social media.
Recently, the actress revealed that her mother’s health is critical, and she is currently in the ICU. On this auspicious occasion of Eid, Zareen is feeling particularly sorrowful. She expressed that the ongoing global events are deeply affecting her.
In a heartfelt video posted on Instagram for Eid, Zareen shared her feelings of sadness. She believes that everyone should be impacted by the events happening around the world, and if not, it signifies a decline in humanity. She stated, “I don’t feel like celebrating Eid, but I’ve made a little effort to get ready. However, I am deeply saddened inside. My mother’s health is very poor, and what’s happening in the world is heartbreaking.”
Zareen further emphasized, “People say I shouldn’t be affected, but why shouldn’t I? The innocent lives being lost are our own. I am not talking about religion; I am talking about humanity. Even if they are far from us, it should matter because innocent and blameless people are being killed.” Her video clearly shows her distress over the ongoing conflict between Israel and Iran.
It is noteworthy that Zareen’s mother has been unwell for a long time and has spent considerable time in the hospital. Although she has recently been discharged, her condition has not improved significantly. In a recent interview, Zareen mentioned that life has reached a point where breaking down is not an option, as she is the eldest daughter and responsible for her mother and younger sister. Whatever happens, she must hold herself together.
