Amaravati, August 24: The YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) has urged the Chief Electoral Officer of Andhra Pradesh, Vivek Yadav, to provide data related to the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) 2026 for the party’s authorized booth-level agents across the state.
On Monday, YSRCP State General Secretary and MLC Lella Appi Reddy submitted a memorandum to the Chief Electoral Officer, demanding immediate intervention. He alleged that in several assembly constituencies, crucial information related to SIR 2026 is not being provided to the party’s authorized BLA-1 and BLA-2 agents in a timely and complete manner.
Appi Reddy has requested detailed information at both assembly and booth levels, including details of unmapped voters, logical discrepancies, irregularities, and information on issued and pending notices.
He also called for clear directives to be issued to election officials to ensure that necessary information is made available to YSRCP’s authorized BLA-1 and BLA-2 agents.
The YSRCP claims that party representatives have faced significant challenges in obtaining essential data in the Pulivendula, Punganur, and Uravakonda assembly constituencies. The party has alleged that booth-level officers (BLOs) are also failing to provide necessary information to BLA-2 agents in several locations.
Appi Reddy mentioned that the YSRCP’s SIR organizational team visited the RDO office in Kadiri to request booth-wise data on unmapped voters and logical discrepancies. However, the RDO office expressed its inability to provide the information, citing a lack of relevant login or access.
The YSRCP has also submitted similar booth-wise data related to the Chittoor assembly constituency to the Chief Electoral Officer. Appi Reddy argues that this indicates that the information is available within the electoral system, and there is a need for uniform and clear directives for sharing it statewide.
The party asserts that access to this data is essential for authorized political party representatives to accurately verify the voter list, identify genuine errors and discrepancies, and bring them to the attention of election officials in a timely manner.
