Ujjain, September 19 (Daily Kiran) : The Youth Dharma Parliament held in Ujjain on September 19 brought together notable figures, including scientist and author Anand Ranganathan. He praised Swami Mithilesh’s teachings, calling the event one of the most meaningful he has attended. Ranganathan expressed that he felt only 30% knowledgeable before the event, attributing the remaining 70% of his understanding to Swami Mithilesh’s insights.
Ranganathan remarked, “I truly felt small in comparison to the depth of wisdom shared. He explained the true meaning behind concepts like Rishi and agriculture, enlightening me on their significance.” He noted that many events occur weekly, but the essence of this Parliament was unique. For the first time, he felt like a participant rather than just a speaker, emphasizing that awareness must come from the grassroots while action must be initiated from the top.
He voiced concern over the plight of India’s farmers, stating, “Until we transform 300 million farmers into productive individuals instead of mere vote banks, no solution will emerge.”
Vijay Manohar Tiwari, Vice Chancellor of MCU, also spoke at the event, expressing gratitude for his second opportunity to attend the Youth Dharma Parliament. He highlighted the significance of the theme connecting Rishis and agriculture, stressing the urgent need for a reversal of the rural-to-urban migration that has left villages desolate over the past 80 years. Tiwari warned that this exodus has turned urban life into a nightmare, making cities uninhabitable.
Both speakers underscored the critical need for initiatives to revitalize rural communities and address the challenges posed by urban migration.
