New Delhi, February 21: The controversy surrounding the Youth Congress protests during the India AI Impact Summit is intensifying. Many exhibitors at the summit have criticized the protests, labeling them as inappropriate and unfortunate.

They argue that such disruptions send the wrong message at a time when the country is showcasing its technological advancements on a global stage.

One exhibitor expressed to the media, “The protest by Youth Congress workers during such a significant event is deeply regrettable. This summit is a point of pride for all of us. The country is moving forward rapidly, and the youth are looking towards the future, but Congress seems intent on dragging us back a hundred years.”

A teacher from Uttar Pradesh also condemned the protests, stating, “In my childhood, I heard about the ‘Kachha-Baniyan Gang’ that looted while people stood by. If there is political dissent, it should be expressed appropriately. Protests should be organized at designated places like Jantar Mantar with permission from the authorities.”

Large events require collective effort and coordination. Just as a family comes together to make a wedding successful, the government has worked hard to organize this summit. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has visited Bharat Mandapam three times. I have never seen such a grand event before. What happened here is shameful.

Another exhibitor referenced international events, noting that the G20 summit was conducted excellently, and this summit is also being organized well. In contrast, discussions about alleged scams during the Commonwealth Games highlighted issues where items worth 400 rupees were rented out for 40,000 rupees.

During the India AI Impact Summit, members of the Youth Congress staged a shirtless protest inside Bharat Mandapam, chanting slogans against the central government. They demanded accountability regarding unemployment, inflation, and the alleged India-U.S. trade agreement.

A day after the protest, the Youth Congress defended their actions by sharing an image of Mahatma Gandhi on social media.
