Young Man Shot Dead in Kolkata Rooftop Brawl; Four Arrested

Kolkata, March 26: A shocking murder case has emerged from Kolkata, West Bengal. Reports indicate that two individuals were drinking on a rooftop late at night when a group of people arrived and initiated a fight. Tragically, one man was shot and killed, while another sustained injuries. The police have arrested four suspects in connection with the incident.

According to information, around 1 AM, the Patuli police received a report of a brawl occurring on the rooftop of a building in the Purba Phool Bagan area. Upon arrival, officers found two men severely injured. Both were promptly transported to the hospital.

At the hospital, doctors pronounced Rahul De, also known as Bumbla, dead. He had suffered a gunshot wound to the head. The second victim, Jeet, narrowly escaped death, with the bullet grazing his head, leaving a cut. He is currently receiving treatment, and his condition is reported to be stable.

Jeet informed the police that he and Rahul were drinking on the rooftop when they were suddenly attacked by a group. Initially, a physical altercation ensued, but it escalated to gunfire, resulting in Rahul’s death on the spot, while Jeet was injured but managed to survive.

The police acted swiftly, identifying all suspects involved. So far, four individuals have been apprehended, including Deep Roy (33), also known as Pukai, and Bidhan Banerjee (27), both residents of the Narendrapur area. Additionally, Raja Banik (36) from the Netaji Nagar area and Jayanto Ghosh have also been taken into custody.

Currently, the police are interrogating all suspects to determine the underlying cause of the brawl.
