
Greater Noida, May 19: A dispute over drainage water disposal escalated into a violent confrontation in Greater Noida’s Surajpur area, resulting in the murder of a young man named Sajan Bhati. The police have made a significant breakthrough in this shocking case.
The Surajpur police arrested the wanted suspect, Naimpal alias Maempal. With this arrest, the total number of apprehended suspects in the case has increased.
According to police reports, the incident occurred on the night of May 5 and 6 in the village of Sakipur. There had been an ongoing dispute between two parties regarding drainage water disposal and garbage dumping. This longstanding conflict turned violent that night.
It is alleged that after a heated argument, the two sides confronted each other, during which Sajan Bhati was shot. He sustained serious injuries and was rushed to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead. Following the incident, tensions rose in the village.
Sajan Bhati’s uncle filed a complaint at the Surajpur police station, prompting immediate action and the registration of a case. Given the seriousness of the situation, multiple police teams were deployed to locate the suspects.
Utilizing local intelligence and surveillance, the Surajpur police arrested the wanted suspect, Naimpal, near the Mozerbeer roundabout on Sunday. The arrested individual is a resident of Sakipur and is approximately 48 years old. Police are currently interrogating him to gather more information about the case.
Authorities reported that prior to Naimpal’s arrest, three other suspects—Veer Singh, Mangesh alias Tillu, and Veermati—had already been apprehended and sent to jail. Following Naimpal’s capture, police stated they are investigating the roles of other individuals involved in the murder.
