New Delhi, June 10: With just days left until International Yoga Day 2026, the Indian government’s Ministry of AYUSH is ramping up efforts to promote yoga awareness. The ministry is urging people to incorporate yoga into their daily routines. As part of this initiative, they have released an inspiring video featuring actress Poonam Dhillon, where she shares her thoughts on the significance of yoga.
The Ministry of AYUSH posted the video on Instagram, stating, “Aging is a natural and beautiful truth of life, but staying healthy, strong, and flexible is in our hands.” This year’s theme for International Yoga Day is “Yoga for Healthy Aging,” aimed at helping people understand the crucial role regular yoga practice plays in maintaining physical and mental health as they age.
In the video, Poonam Dhillon highlighted that due to Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s efforts, June 21 has gained global recognition as International Yoga Day. She acknowledged that aging is an inevitable truth, and everyone desires to look good while remaining healthy, energetic, and active.
Dhillon emphasized that yoga is a medium that helps maintain flexibility, mobility, and mental peace even as one ages. She pointed out that yoga is not merely physical exercise but an effective way to lead a balanced and healthy life. It strengthens both the body and mind, empowering individuals to face life’s challenges.
The actress urged everyone to make yoga a part of their daily lives. She promoted the message of “Yoga 365,” stressing that yoga is not just a one-day event but a habit that should be embraced continuously for a healthy life.
Poonam Dhillon encouraged citizens to actively participate in International Yoga Day 2026 on June 21. By adopting yoga, she believes individuals can achieve better health and lead an active and joyful life even as they age.
