Patna, 2 September (Kiran News): People in Bihar have been facing hot and humid weather for the past few days, with day and night temperatures remaining above normal. Meanwhile, the Meteorological Department has issued a yellow alert for light rain and thunderstorms in six districts—Siwan, Gopalganj, East Champaran, West Champaran, Bhagalpur, and Munger—today (Tuesday). However, the chances of rainfall are low, and there is little hope of major relief from the heat for the next 10 days.

According to the Meteorological Department, there is no possibility of significant rainfall in Bihar until 7 September. However, after 10 September, the weather pattern may change, and heavy rain is expected in several areas. This forecast is based on moisture coming from the Bay of Bengal and possible cyclonic circulation.
As per the Meteorological Centre, Patna, the monsoon trough is currently focused over South Bihar, but monsoon activity remains weak in North Bihar.
