Xiaomi Unveils Redmi A7 Pro in Europe with HyperOS 3 and Affordable Pricing

Milan, March 26: Xiaomi has officially launched the Redmi A7 Pro in Europe, with Italy being the first market to receive the device following its earlier debut in Malaysia. The phone had previously appeared on certification listings last month, making this release highly anticipated. It operates on HyperOS 3, which is now extending to Xiaomi’s budget-friendly devices.

The primary highlight of the Redmi A7 Pro is its impressive battery life. Equipped with a 6000mAh battery, it is designed to last a full day of regular usage, including streaming, browsing, and calls. While charging is capped at 15W, which is not particularly fast, it aligns with expectations for this price range.

The device features a 6.9-inch IPS LCD display with a 120Hz refresh rate, a notable upgrade in this segment where many competitors still offer 60Hz or 90Hz displays. This enhancement allows for smoother scrolling and navigation, despite the panel being LCD.

Under the hood, the Redmi A7 Pro is powered by the Unisoc T7250 processor, built on a 12nm architecture. It offers configurations of up to 8GB RAM and 128GB storage. In everyday use, this setup is sufficient for basic tasks like using apps, social media, and light multitasking, although it is not designed for intensive gaming.

On the camera front, Xiaomi has integrated a 13-megapixel dual rear camera setup featuring AI capabilities, alongside an 8-megapixel front camera. The AI processing enhances photo quality in various lighting conditions, which is crucial for a phone in this category.

Design-wise, Xiaomi aims to differentiate itself with the Redmi A7 Pro. The phone is available in Black, Blue, and Green, with an Orange variant offered in other regions. It features a wavy texture on the back, providing a unique tactile experience compared to standard finishes.

In Italy, pricing starts at €129.90 for the 4GB RAM and 64GB storage version, while the 4GB RAM and 128GB model is priced at €149.90. Both variants come in Black, Mist Blue, and Palm Green.
