Mumbai, March 26: Samsung has unveiled its latest additions to the Galaxy A-series with the launch of the Galaxy A57 5G and Galaxy A37 5G. These smartphones feature a blend of practical upgrades, emphasizing performance, durability, and camera enhancements while maintaining a familiar design.
The Galaxy A57 5G stands out as the more refined model. It is powered by Samsung’s new Exynos 1680 chip, built on a 4nm process, promising improved efficiency and smoother daily performance. This year, the device has also received a slight enhancement in durability with an IP68 rating, an upgrade from the A56’s IP67.
Samsung has slimmed down the design as well. The A57 is now thinner and lighter, featuring narrower bezels around its 6.7-inch Super AMOLED display. The screen retains an FHD+ resolution with a 120Hz refresh rate and peaks at 1,900 nits, similar to last year’s A56.
The camera setup remains largely unchanged. It includes a 50MP main sensor with optical image stabilization (OIS), a 12MP ultrawide lens, a 5MP macro camera, and a 12MP front-facing camera. The key difference this time lies in enhanced image processing, which is expected to improve low-light photography and overall detail.
The more budget-friendly Galaxy A37 follows a similar design philosophy. It is equipped with the Exynos 1480 chip and also features the new IP68 rating. The display matches the size and brightness of the A57, and while the camera hardware remains the same, Samsung is again focusing on improved processing.
In terms of design, the A37 does not receive the same slimming updates. It is slightly heavier and retains the thicker bezels from its predecessor. Both models operate on One UI 8.5 based on Android 16 and are powered by a 5,000mAh battery with 45W charging capabilities.
