Xi Jinping Meets Turkmenistans National Leader in Beijing

Beijing, March 20: Chinese President Xi Jinping met with Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, the National Leader of Turkmenistan and Chairman of the People’s Council, at the Diaoyutai State Guesthouse in Beijing. Berdimuhamedov is currently on a friendly visit to China.

During the meeting, Xi highlighted the recent successful convening of China’s National People’s Congress (NPC) and the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC), where the 15th Five-Year Plan was reviewed and approved.

He stated that the effective implementation of this plan would lay a strong foundation for realizing socialist modernization in China. Additionally, it would create new development opportunities for many countries globally.

Xi also emphasized China’s readiness to engage in in-depth discussions on cooperation plans with Turkmenistan, share development opportunities, and deepen the practical construction of a China-Turkmenistan community with a shared future.

Berdimuhamedov expressed his delight at visiting a great country like China and congratulated Xi on the successful organization of the NPC and CPPCC. He noted that significant decisions and plans were made during these meetings, which would guide China’s progress in new directions.

He further stressed that the growing cooperation between Turkmenistan and China has become a crucial and positive factor in the economic and social development of both nations. This collaboration not only meets current needs but also aligns with the long-term interests of both peoples.
