New Delhi (Udaipur Kiran News): WhatsApp has introduced a new Message Translations feature that allows users to translate messages directly within chats. The tool is designed to make conversations easier across languages, whether in 1:1 chats, group conversations, or Channels.

How it Works
Users can long-press any message in a different language, tap on “Translate”, and then choose the source and target language. The translated text can also be downloaded for offline use in future conversations.
On Android, the feature goes a step further—users can enable automatic translation for entire chat threads, ensuring all incoming messages are instantly translated.
Privacy and Security
WhatsApp has emphasized that all translations are processed on-device, ensuring even WhatsApp itself cannot view the translated content.
Availability
The rollout has started for both Android and iPhone users, with support for more languages to follow.
-
Android users: Translation available in English, Spanish, Hindi, Portuguese, Russian, and Arabic.
-
iPhone users: Translation support for 19+ languages at launch.
With this update, WhatsApp aims to make global conversations smoother by breaking down language barriers directly inside the app.
