Kolkata, March 26: A golden opportunity has emerged for those aspiring to join the West Bengal Municipal Service Commission (WBMSC). The commission has officially announced the recruitment for a total of 41 Medical Officer (General) positions.
The online application process for these posts has commenced, with the deadline set for April 17. Eligible and interested candidates wishing to apply can visit the official website and submit their registration forms within the stipulated timeframe.
Applicants must possess an MBBS degree from a recognized university and be duly registered with the Medical Council. Additionally, candidates with postgraduate qualifications such as DPH/MD (Community Medicine)/MD (PSM) will be given preference. A minimum of one year of experience in the medical field or public health sector is also required.
The maximum age limit for candidates is set at 37 years. However, candidates from reserved categories will receive age relaxation as per regulations.
Selection of eligible candidates will be based on a written examination, personality test, and document verification. The salary for selected candidates will be determined according to the ROPA pay scale level 16 (2019), paid monthly.
When applying, candidates must pay the prescribed application fee online, which is ₹200 for General/EWS/OBC candidates and ₹50 for Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribe/PWD candidates.
