Jaipur, August 13 (Kiran News) β The absence of rain in Rajasthan due to winds from Pakistan is expected to end soon, as eastern winds will become active from Friday. This will bring a change in weather and an increase in rainfall activity across the state.

Director of the Meteorological Centre, Radheshyam Sharma, said the monsoon trough is currently passing through Amritsar and Chandigarh (north of its normal position), with western winds dominating most parts of the state. From August 14 onwards, eastern winds from the Bay of Bengal will become active, leading to increased rainfall activity in eastern Rajasthan from August 15 and in some parts of western Rajasthan from August 16.
There is a possibility of heavy rain in some parts of Kota division on August 15, and in parts of Kota and Udaipur divisions on August 16. On Tuesday, light to moderate rainfall was recorded in some areas of eastern Rajasthan, while western Rajasthan remained dry. The highest rainfall in the state was recorded in Dholpur at 32 mm.
Bisalpur Dam Discharging 600 Cusecs of Water Through One Gate
Even after the recent lull in rains, water inflow into the Bisalpur Dam continues. At present, one gate of the dam (Gate No. 9) is opened by 0.10 metres to release 601 cusecs of water. The Triveni River is currently flowing at 2.80 metres.
