Jaipur, November 2 (Daily Kiran): Weather conditions in Rajasthan are set to change once again as a new western disturbance is expected to become active from November 3. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast rain in several districts including Jaipur, Ajmer, Kota, Udaipur, Bharatpur, and Jodhpur divisions on November 3 and 4.

The department has issued a yellow alert for 17 districts in view of the approaching system.

According to weather experts, the depression formed over the Arabian Sea weakened on Saturday, leading to a temporary break in rainfall across the state. Most parts of Rajasthan witnessed clear skies and sunshine, causing daytime temperatures to rise by up to seven degrees Celsius. Barmer recorded the highest temperature at 35.9°C.

On Saturday, the maximum temperature rose by around five degrees in Kota, Udaipur, Chittorgarh, Tonk, Ajmer, Baran, Karauli, Dausa, Alwar, and Bhilwara, while Sirohi saw the sharpest rise of 7.8°C, reaching 31°C. Morning fog was reported in Alwar, Bundi, and Kota districts, reducing visibility in some areas.

The Met department said that the depression over the Arabian Sea has now turned into a well-marked low-pressure area. Light rainfall is likely in parts of Udaipur and Kota divisions, while dry conditions will prevail elsewhere. Partly cloudy skies may lead to a slight rise in both day and night temperatures.

Weather experts believe that November this year is expected to be cooler than usual. Due to the combined effect of La Niña and successive western disturbances, daytime temperatures may remain lower compared to recent years, though nights are likely to be relatively mild. The post-monsoon rainfall, cloud cover, and increased humidity in the air are being cited as the main reasons for this expected pattern.
